Quick Bites: Demonic Toys: Jack-Attack

Where have I been? I think I heard they were planning on making this but I didn’t really hear anything about it. So, while making my 31 Days of Horror Challenge list, I saw this was coming out and I knew I would be watching it. Granted I was a huge Full Moon/Charles Band fan back in the day, but I lost some interest in it. However, lately with their individual Demonic Toys movies, I’m back onboard as a fan. Demonic Toys: Jack-Attack didn’t let me down. I had fun with this movie, and I hope they do more sequels with it.

PLOT

A young orphaned girl without the ability of speech finds that she has been gifted with the notorious Jack in the Box from the Demonic Toys.

Positives:

  • We get plenty of kills and they are bloody.

  • I like the tie in with Sybil from Baby Oopsy Daisy. Nice that little throwback.

  • The acting was decent. Even for a Full Moon movie. Sofia Castellanos is the lead as Lily who doesn’t speak through most of the movie. Even without speaking how she acts was good. Mabel Thomas as Audrey, the CPS worker also worked well in this movie.

  • The plot overall was good. I hope they do more movies for Jack-Attack like they did with Baby Oopsie.

  • Was that little appearance in the end mean that toy (not telling who. I’m keeping it spoiler free) will it have its own movie? Maybe. We shall see.

Negatives:

  • The plot is also my main negative. Demonic Toys: Jack-Attack felt rushed and there were plot lines that were introduced but were dropped.

  • Demonic Toys: Jack-Attack was way too short. Less than an hour? With as many different plot points it needed to be movie length at least.

  • Why didn’t we see a good kill for Tyler (Sean Ramey)? That would have been nice to see.

Quick Bite rating:  4/5
